Chess Sets

The tournament chess board is a soft mousepad style board measuring 20 x 20 inches and a full set of 34 triple-weighted regulation plastic chess pieces plus 2 extra Queens. Also includes 1 digital chess clock with 2 AA batteries in an easy to carry chess bag, the set weighs 2.8 lbs. The Chess Sets were made possible by a generous gift from The Friends of the Library.

• 1 Soft mousepad style tournament chess board chessboard measures 20 x 20 inches, 2.25 inch squares
• Total of 34 chess pieces triple weighted plastic pieces – Contains 16 black and 16 white, plus 2 extra Queens
• King height 3.75” with 1.5” base diameter
• 1 Digital chess clock and 2 AA batteries
• 1 Bag 24”x9” – the entire set weighs 2.8lbs

Borrowing & Use Guidelines:

• Borrower must be 18 years old or older and have a valid Northville District Library card.
• 14 Day Loan – No Holds/No Renewals
• $2 per day overdue fine.
• $79 Total Replacement cost : $44 replacement fee for the kit and $35 replacement fee for the digital clock assessed 14 days after due date.
• Chess sets are only checked out at and returned to the Northville District Library.
• MUST BE RETURNED TO THE NORTHVILLE DISTRICT LIBRARY CIRCULATION DESK. DO NOT PLACE KIT IN BOOKDROP OR RETURN TO ANY OTHER LIBRARIES.
• Please ensure all supplies are in good condition and placed in the case before returning.
