Take & Make Craft Kits

September – November (Drop in) Ages 2 – 11. Pick up a new craft kit each month, available while supplies last. First-come, first served. Limit one per child, per month, please.

October 1 – 31 (Drop in) All ages. Enjoy a walk in the park while reading Spooky, Scary Skeletons by Andrew Gold. Sing (and dance!) along to the classic Halloween anthem as five “skeleton” friends and one little “pumpkin” go on a trick-or-treat adventure.

Snakenstein

October 1 – 31 (Drop in) All ages. William Snakespeare is shedding his skin and turning into Snakenstein! Add a spooky rock and let’s see how big he can get!

Cider on Sunday with the Friends of NDL

Sunday, October 19 from 1:30 – 4 PM Everyone is welcome to join us for this annual event to kick of National Friends of the Library Week. LEGO Club

Wednesday, October 22 at 4:30 PM Ages 5 – 11. Build a unique LEGO creation to be displayed in the Youth Dept. Register for LEGO Club.

Mini Monster Mash

Friday, October 31 from 10:30 – 11:15 AM Ages 0 – 5, with a caring adult. Celebrate the season with a spooktacular dance party followed by Trick-or-Treating in the Library. Costumes are encouraged! Register for Mini Monster Mash.

GNOME-VEMBER

November 1 – 30 (Drop in) All ages. It’s Gnome-vember! A sneaky gnome is hiding in the Library – can you find it? Come search and win a fun prize each week when you spot our gnome friend!

“Guess Who” Book Character Silhouettes

Monday, November 3 – Sunday, November 9 (Drop in) In celebration of Children’s Book Week, stop by the Youth Dept. and try to guess the book character silhouettes. If you can guess 8 out of 12 of the silhouettes correctly, you’ll get a small prize.
