All submissions must be inspired by adoptable animals at accredited Michigan animal shelters or foster-run rescues. Find adoptable animals on your favorite shelter’s website, or watch the library social media feed for featured animals from June through August. All skill levels are welcome. 

Entries may be submitted at any time starting 12:00 AM on Saturday, June 1st through 11:59 pm on Saturday, August 31st. To submit your entry email nmolnar@northvillelibrary.org under the subject line of ‘Teen Shelter Pet Art Contest Entry’ and include your first and last name, the name of your artwork, the name of the animal in your art, the shelter/rescue they are available for adoption through, a Petfinder or other online adoption profile link if one is available (or a picture of the adoptable pet if there is no online profile), and at least one high-quality scan or saved file of your entry as outlined in the rules below. Please read through the rules below carefully before submitting your entry.
