The Friends assist the library through fundraising efforts, volunteer work, and act as advocates for the library. The Friends&#8217; biggest fundraising efforts center around the used book operations. With a dedicated group of volunteers, we process all donated used books, sell them in the Used Book Cellar, as well as through an outside vendor. Funds are also raised via the annual Friends membership dues. You do not need to have a PayPal account to use this option.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Get Involved as a Friends Member<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>As a Friends member, you can volunteer as little as an hour a month to a few hours a week or just help with one special event per year.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help sell used books in the Book Cellar.<\/li>\n<li>Sort used book donations.<\/li>\n<li>Help assemble craft kits monthly.<\/li>\n<li>Ask us about other ways to volunteer as a Friends member.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Join our Friends Board<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Board members help create and manage a financial budget that enables us to fund library programming and purchase equipment.. In addition to financial support, the Friends Board actively works to develop and organize programs designed to raise awareness about the library. Through these efforts, we strive to advocate for the library and its services. The Friends Board meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 5:30PM in the Friends Community Room. We do not meet in January, July or August. public, private or home school, and will continue their education as a full-time student in a college, university or trade school the following Fall are eligible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scholarship
