Parents, read to your little ones, and help your students stop the summer slide by maintaining- and improving! – important reading skills during the summer. Register in person at the library to receive you’re A UNIVERSE OF STORIES Summer Reading Program Activity Guide featuring the fun reading games.  Sign-up begins Friday, June 14 and continues through the summer.

Reading Game for all kids up through those entering 2nd Grade

Sign up for the Summer Reading Program to receive your summer activity guide featuring the reading game for kids in this age range. Enjoy 24 books of your choice – listening to stories or reading independently – at your own pace. When finished, visit the Information Desk with your completed game to receive prizes from the treasure chest and a paperback book! The last day to receive prizes is Saturday, August 10.

ROCKET READERS!

Reading Game for kids entering 3rd – 5th Grade

Sign up for the Summer Reading Program to receive your summer activity guide featuring the reading game for kids in these grades. Enjoy reading 10 books of your choice at your own pace. When finished, visit the Information Desk with your completed game to receive prizes from the treasure chest and a paperback book! The last day to receive prizes is Saturday, August 10.

Tips for Attending Summer Events

  • Summer reading program storytimes and events are intended for Northville residents and recommended for all kids up through those entering 5th grade.
  • Due to space limitations summer library activities cannot accommodate special groups.
  • Certain activities require a FREE TICKET available ten minutes prior to daily events at the Information Desk. Expect a waiting line for tickets and please understand shows may “sell out.”
  • Tickets may not be reserved in advance. A maximum of four tickets per person.
  • “Drop-In” activities do not require a ticket.
  • Tween programs are exclusively for kids ages 9 – 12. Registration is required for Tween events. Register online per registration dates.
