Freedom and Unity: A Juneteenth Celebration of Heritage and Hope w/ Rochelle Danquah

Juneteenth—a federal holiday—is an annual celebration that commemorates the freedom of former enslaved African Americans from Galveston, Texas. On June 19, 1865, federal troops gain control over Texas, to ensure liberty and justice to people of color. In the proceeding years, communities across America have joined in to recognize Juneteenth as a day of freedom and resilience. Northville is proud to recognize and celebrate Juneteenth as our ongoing journey to continue to thrive towards diversity, equality, and unity.
